Last updated: December 13, 2025

Our Commitment to Your Privacy

This policy outlines how FileDrop handles your information. Your privacy is critical to us and we are committed to protecting it. We do not collect any personal information from our users.

Information We Collect

FileDrop does not collect any personal information, such as your name, email address, or usage data. The files you manage with the app are yours and are not collected by us.

Camera Access and On-Device Biometric Data

Our 'Secure Mode' feature requires access to your device's camera. This access is only requested when you enable this optional feature. To secure your files, the app will prompt you to take a picture of your face. This image is processed on your device to create a biometric identifier for authentication.

**Important:** The picture you take and the resulting biometric data never leave your device. They are not uploaded to our servers or shared with any third party. This data is stored securely on your device for the sole purpose of authenticating you for Secure Mode.

How We Use Your Information

Since we do not collect your personal information, we do not use it for any purpose. The on-device biometric data is used only to grant you access to your files when Secure Mode is enabled.

Information Sharing

We do not collect your personal information, so there is nothing to share. Your biometric data is never shared as it never leaves your device.

Security

We are committed to the security of your data. The biometric data for Secure Mode is stored locally and protected by your device's security features. All file operations you perform are under your control.
